Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese manga and anime series created by Hiromu Arakawa. It tells the story of two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric, who use alchemy to try and bring their mother back to life, but end up losing parts of their bodies in the process. The series follows their journey as they search for the Philosopher's Stone, a powerful object that can potentially restore their bodies fully.
October 3rd is not a significant date in relation to Fullmetal Alchemist. However, the anime series premiered on October 4th, 2003, and the manga was first serialized in Square Enix's Monthly Shōnen Gangan from 2001 to 2010. The franchise has since expanded to include video games, light novels, and a live-action film adaptation.
